The Shattering is the term given to the events that led to the near destruction of Myzan.

An unknown number of years before the timeline of Phoenix Edition a series of massive Meteor Strikes hit the various continents of Myzan, ripping it asunder, flooding whole areas, turning farm land into lava pits and lava pits into oceans.

Along with the instant and catastrophic loss of life, for many years dust and clouds of debris caused the Sun to be hidden and the air to be foul and toxic.

Few people survived but some did and civilization was to be reborn ...

Unfortunately the events of the Shattering provided an instant and unwaivering series of reinforcements to the Reapers, turning the tide of war and stacking the odds firmly in favour of those foul deviants!

Many realms have been lost to the war, but the Exiles and Society settled their differences and finally united to fight the Reapers. Putting aside decades of conflict to focus on this one all powerful enemy.

Life in Myzan is now harder than ever before.
